Flemington has a sound and smooth transport comprising of train, tram, taxi and walkways. You can travel within and to Melbourne via these modes of transport in a few minutes. If you plan to travel to Melbourne the train takes 8 mins, taxi takes 7 minutes and the tram takes 26 minutes approximately. Most places are easy to access via different public transports. The roads are also well made and easy to navigate to make travelling individually.

Yes you can and the fastest way to travel to the city from the inner-city suburb is via taxi. It takes around 7-8 minutes and the fare can range from $800 to $1000. You can also take a direct train from the Newmarket station to the Flagstaff station.
It is among the cheapest ways to travel to the city with the fare of $237. If you go by train the approximate time is 8 mins. The train comes every interval of 30 minutes making is easy for commuters to catch it as per convenience.

Flemington has well-made roads with the good connectivity via buses. The prime arterial road is the Racecourse Road which is linked to the Prince Highway. The City Link also runs across the eastern side of the suburb improving its connectivity to tollways in Melbourne, Victoria. You can also find many corridors suitable for cycling and reaching different parts of the suburbs and Melbourne City.

Travelling via the train is a popular mode of transportation for residents and tourists. The train stops at two stations in Flemington – Newmarket and Flemington Bridge. These stations are on the Craigieburn line and Upfield line respectively. The train line of Flemington Racecourse is also well made but it is only operations during events at the Racecourse or the Melbourne Showgrounds. This line has only two stations and it doesn’t come at the Newmarket station. Instead, it connects the North Melbourne, Southern Cross and Flinders Street stations.

If you don’t want to travel via a personal vehicle or train, you can take the tram route 57 from West Maribyrnong to the Melbourne City. You can also take the tram route 59 from Airport West stop to the Melbourne city. Both the stops in the city are on Flinders Street / Elizabeth Street. • Bus 404 from Footscray to Moonee Ponds Junction. This route is operated by Transit Systems.
• Bus 472 from Moonee Ponds Junction – Williamstown. This route is also operated by the Transit Systems.
• Bus 942 from the city to the St Adams. This route extends to Sunbury. It is operated by Dysons.

• The first tram is 57 at 7:14 am and it is also the last one at 0:35 am.
• The first train is from Craigieburn at 3:35 pm and it is the same for the last at 0:27 am.
• The first bus is 959 and it comes nearby at 3:00 pm and the last bus is 402 that goes at 22:21 pm.
